COMPANY HISTORY

• 1970, established as government owned dockyard originally so that it was built 45 years ago
• Commercially serving for both public and private sectors since 1976
• 1993, the First Overseas Contract from Yunnan Machinery Import & Export Corporation, to build local used passenger crafts and cargo barges, was receidved
• The first export market was entered in 1995
• In 2005, 12,000 dwt dry dock was built and successfully completed
• At present, commercially oriented run enterprise under the Ministry of Transport
• In the year 2015, establishment of the Joint venture between Myanma Shipyards and the Dong A Shipbuilding industry Joint Stock Company
• Myanmar Government laid down the various reformation policies and Myanma Shipyards obtain the first investment licence to operate with JV Partner under PPP Program in 2014 and born Myanma Shipyards - AMECC Joint Venture Company Limited with full thrust in force. The management set up the SBU with their nature of business and engaging the world fulfilling with CSR, HSE Policy and Quality Policy to meet the customer requirements.
